1910 Craftsman Remodel

Alameda Neighborhood in Portland, Oregon

Posten Painting, Inc. had the pleasure of doing all of the painting and staining in this beautiful 1910 Craftsman in the Alameda neighborhood of Portland, Oregon.  When Angelique went to do the estimate it was all studs and slanting sub floors and there was A LOT of work to be done.

This was an incredible before and after kind of job and we were definitely happy to be a part of it.  The new homeowners will have a gorgeous modern Craftsman that will last for many more decades to come.

Dave Yasenchak, Da Vinci Construction

Dave Yasenchak of Da Vinci Construction was the General Contractor on the job so we knew it was going to be done right and to the highest standards.  We have worked on projects with Dave in the past and he is very pleasant to be around.  His care factor in the work he does is quite evident and he is all about workable solutions.  There were many curve balls thrown his way on this project and it was interesting to see the various solutions he came up with to solve these issues.  Dave truly is a Master Craftsman!

Doug and Carol Landers with John L. Scott Real Estate handled the design details and were the realtors for the sale of this home.  Every detail was carefully considered and only the finest fixtures and materials were chosen.  They are a great team and were a pleasure to work with.  At the end of this project it was amazing to see how everything came together.

Angelique Posten
Kevin Posten

Angelique Posten was the Color Consultant for this project and assisted Carol in the color selections for all surfaces to be painted.  Angelique's favorite color of the palette was the exterior siding color - Sherwin-Williams Mount Etna SW7625.  Trim color is Classic Ivory SW0051 and the accent is Rookwood Terra Cotta SW2803.  The sash and storms remained Tricorn Black SW6258.  One interesting obstacle was that the black sash color and creamy trim color were staying the same so we had to work around that.

For the interior we chose Zurich White SW7626 for the walls and Pure White SW7005 for the ceilings, trim, and cabinets.  This color scheme kept things nice and bright.  It turned out very well!

Kevin Posten and crew painted the entire interior and the majority of the exterior (all except for the sashes and storm windows).  A lot of care and detail went in to painting this home.  Our crew worked hard on this project and it shows.

Posten Painting used only the finest of finishes from Sherwin-Williams.  Emerald Exterior paint was used on the exterior of the home.  Emerald Interior paint was used on the walls and ceilings and Emerald Urethane on all trim and cabinetry.  Rodda Paint's Sharkskin was painted on the front porch and Timber Pro's Deck & Fence was applied to the side porch.  Powell Paint did the stain match for the interior trim which was a perfect match.
